TEAM ER'S EGG APPEAL
For many of us, Easter is a time of excitement – we look forward to a long bank holiday weekend (hopefully in the sunshine) celebrating with our friends and family. However, unfortunately for some the Easter weekend is much like every other weekend, a weekend of homelessness and loneliness.
The Y is an outstanding Leicestershire based charity who strives to change this, accommodating and supporting young and vulnerable people with nowhere to go. As a team passionate about our community, we wanted to contribute to the life-changing difference the charity is making and as a result we joined their eggxtra appeal to help ensure that no young person goes without a chocolate egg this Easter.
As a team of 10 we are delighted to have smashed our target and between us managed to bring in a total of 63 eggs for the cause! Although a chocolate egg won’t answer the issue of youth homelessness in Leicestershire, we hope it can bring a little joy to the lives of many young people who are alone this Easter.
