The Company:

ER Recruitment is excited to be working alongside a continuously growing organisation who are considered leaders locally. They are recruiting for a permanent Project Engineer to join their expanding team, who can provide quotations and drawings that meet the specifications of customer requirements. The successful candidate will be able to turn the above quotations/drawings in to build drawings, bills of materials and issue to production, while also working to, and delivering to, agreed project timescales.

 

Role & Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

    <ul>\n
    <li>Liaising with various contractors and consultants via the telephone and email with the objective of being given the opportunity to provide quotations.</li>\n
    <li>Ensuring all customer quotations are processed and issued in line with agreed expectations and timescales and are presented in a format that is clear, accurate and as per their specification requirements.</li>\n
    <li>To consider each order individually and always seek to maximise profit margins when preparing quotations.</li>\n
    <li>Liaising with other engineers regarding bespoke requirements and sharing thoughts and experience regarding more complex specifications.</li>\n
    <li>Visiting site where necessary to review the customer requirements.</li>\n
    <li>Producing RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) for jobs where necessary.</li>\n
    <li>Production of drawings in line with the customer specification and issue to the customer for approval.</li>\n
    <li>Once approved by the customer, ordering of all materials.</li>\n
    <li>Manage projects throughout the whole process.</li>\n
    <li>Adhering to health and safety regulations.</li>\n
    <li>All other duties as required that are considered to be a reasonable employer request.</li>\n

    <br /><strong>About You as the Project Engineer:</strong><br />\n
    <ul>\n
    <li>Experience in switchgear and low voltage switchgear systems.</li>\n
    <li>Electrical Engineering qualification is desirable.</li>\n
    <li>Use of CAD drawings including working knowledge of AutoCAD.</li>\n
    <li>Competent at working with formulae and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.</li>\n
    <li>Excellent written and verbal communications skills.</li>\n
    <li>Excellent analytical skills and the ability to prepare and present customer quotations and review financial data.</li>\n
    <li>Effective IT skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer.</li>\n
    <li>Actively seeks business leads and opportunities and chases potential leads wherever possible.</li>\n
    <li>Displays a confident and clear approach when communicating with internal staff and external customers.</li>\n
    <li>Displays an enthusiastic and positive attitude.</li>\n
    <li>Respectful of customer confidentiality and also when handling customer information.</li>\n
    <li>A genuine team worker.</li>\n
    <li>The ability to work on own initiative.</li>\n
