EILEEN RICHARDS MBE ANNOUNCED AS HOPE VICE CHAIR

Hope Against Cancer Trustee Eileen Richards MBE has been appointed in the role of Vice Chair supporting current Chair Rick Moore.





Eileen Richards MBE, owner of local recruitment consultancy ER Recruitment has taken on a new position on the Hope Against Cancer Board as Vice Chair taking over from past Vice Chair Prof Ian Lauder.


Eileen will bring a wealth of board experience to the role having most recently been the President of the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and possessing a passion to make a positive impact in the fight against cancer.


Since joining the Hope Against Cancer board 6 years ago, Eileen has been a part of many initiatives including the Hope through Business club which hosts two annual lunches and now has over 50 members raising £1,500 every 18 months.


Alongside her commitment to the board Eileen’s own team are frequent participants in Hope Against Cancer events raising funds on behalf of the charity to support pioneering cancer research and clinical trials.


Discussing the new appointment Eileen said “I am delighted to take on the role of Vice Chair for Hope Against Cancer. Hope holds a very special place in my heart and I am proud to have been a part of the incredible work they have achieved so far and I’m excited to continue to take the charity forward in funding research to find a cure for cancer”.


Adding to this Hope CEO Nigel Rose said …I’ve been working with Eileen in her role as trustee for a number of years, where her passion, commitment and guidance has been an excellent source of support in helping me personally, and the team more widely, to deliver our aims and mission and I’m delighted she has now stepped up to be Vice-Chair of Hope”.


Hope Against Cancer have lots of brilliant research projects and fundraising events throughout 2022 and Chair Rick, Vice Chair Eileen, the Hope Board and team will be continuing to raise funds for cutting-edge research so that Leicestershire remains a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment.
